If you see KX-TDA or KX-TDE prices on a website, that means the dealer is NOT authorized or certified by Panasonic to sell the equipment, or the equipment is NOT new, or NOT the latest version, or it's NOT for use in the USA. (NOTE: Panasonic does permit prices for some products to be shown online.)
► Many Panasonic KX-TDA and KX-TDE products that are being sold online are "gray market" and not intended to be sold in the USA, not warranteed by Panasonic in the USA and not approved by the FCC. It's illegal to connect a phone system to the national telephone network if it has not been approved by the FCC.
► Some unauthorized dealers sell the KX-TDA30. It's derived from the KX-TDA50, but is NOT intended for use in the USA, and will not get warranty service from Panasonic in the USA.
► Dealers that are not authorized by Panasonic can NOT get technical support from Panasonic, and they may not be able to help you if you have a question or problem. You, as an "end-user," can't get help from Panasonic for a phone system problem. You must get help from a dealer.
► Panasonic KX-TDA100 and KX-TDA200 and KX-TDE systems sold for use in the USA are shipped "turned-off" and must be activated by an authorized dealer's technician communicating with Panasonic, or they can't be used. The KX-TDA50 is shipped with minimal functions working and must be activated to accept additional capacity or functions.
► You may think you are saving money if you buy from an unauthorized dealer but the problems you face are probably not worth the difference in price.
► Unauthorized dealers usually can not provide manuals and software for the KX-TDA systems. Sometimes they provide the wrong manuals or useless software.
► Some unauthorized dealers state that they will charge your credit card and then take up to two weeks before shipping your products. We usually ship the same day an order is placed.
► Panasonic KX-TDA and KX-TDE systems are sophisticated and complex products. They are not "plug-and-play" like consumer phones. And even if you've installed other phone systems before, you will still need a qualified, experienced dealer to support you.
